NCRF facilitates successful AGM for Jozi fm on Saturday, 8 December 2007

The NCRF national office assisted the facilitation of a successful AGM for Jozi fm as NCRF board member, Mr Sonnyboy was presiding chairperson over the days proceedings. NCRF was assisted by EISA, an organisation that specializes in conduction democratic electoral processes. About 26 organisations applied for membership to the Soweto Media Trust, a section twenty (21) company holding the Jozi fm community sound broadcasting lisence. At Saturdays meeting , 16 organisations was officially endorsed as new members representing the different sectors from the community of Soweto. These organisations are now constituted as the Soweto Media forum, a member based advisory forum to the projects and activities of Jozi fm. The vetting for membership was done by EISA and assisted by NCRF. The Jozi fm board also gained four new members from the Soweto Media Forum. The current Board comprises of seven board members. The meeting was attended by 50 community members representing the different community organisations and sectors within Soweto.
