NCRF sends condolences to the Board and Staff of Voice of Tembisa
The Voice of Tembisa is sad and mourns the sudden death of its Board member, Manase Malinga
The Voice of Tembisa is sad to notify you about the sudden death of its
Board member. Manase Malinga was born in 1955 at Waterfall farm, grew
at Alexander Township and later moved to Tembisa started his high
school at Tembisa High in 1972. He started Tembisa Self Help
Association of the Disabled in 1990. He went on to win an SABC /
Sowetan Community Builder of the year in 1994, and followed with SABC /
Sowetan Community Builder of the Decade in 2003. He has been a Board
member and founder member of Voice of Tembisa since inception in 2004
and was a corner stone of this Radio Station. He was the first
Chairperson of Ekurhuleni Disability Forum & CEO of Tembisa Self
Help Association of Disabled (T Shad) formed 20 yrs ago. Died on 22
January after two days of illness. The memorial service of his life
will be held on the 27th January 2010 at Rabasotho Hall and the funeral
will be on the 30th January 2010, Saturday at the same Hall. The
service will start at 08:30 pm and the cortege will leave for cemetery
at 11:00.
