NOTICE OF DIGITAL DZONGA ADVISORY COUNCIL WORKING GROUPS

The Digital Dzonga Advisory Council is charged with overseeing the migration of the country’s terrestrial television broadcasting system from analogue to digital. The Council has decided to establish 5 working groups which will play an ongoing advisory role during the DTT migration process. Each working group will be chaired by a member of the Council.

The Digital Dzonga Advisory Council is charged with overseeing the migration of the country’s terrestrial television broadcasting system from analogue to digital. The Council has decided to establish 5 working groups which will play an ongoing advisory role during the DTT migration process. Each working group will be chaired by a member of the Council. The 5 working groups are: · Technology and Standards – focusing on specifications, standards and conformance · Broadcast Infrastructure – looking at transmitter rollout implementation and co-ordination · Help and Support – ensuring the needs of vulnerable groups are taken into account · Communications – overseeing public awareness campaigns on DTT · Monitoring and research – tracking DTT implementation Organisations with a direct interest in or expertise related to DTT are invited to submit applications for membership of the working groups. Please note that members of the working groups will not be remunerated. Correspondence should include: · Name of organization · Motivation as to the interest / expertise in DTT · Name, designation and contact details of nominated representative · An indication of which working group the representative will serve on The Council reserves the right to decline membership applications.
