Radio Atlantis went on air on the 1st of September 1995

Mission Statement: Radio Atlantis shall act as a medium to empower the community in its broadcasting area, through education and information and provinding a voice and entertainment to such communities and promotes the rights of those who have been denied their basic human rights in the past in particular women and childrens rights. Radio Atlantis shall strive to achieve financial sustainability without comporomising its social responsibility towards the community in its broadcasting area.

Legal Status: Registered as a section 21 company
Languages of broadcast: Afrikaans, English and isiXhosa
Current licensing status: Licence valid until 30 April 2010.
